SERENITY AND INNER PEACE REVISION
Lots of things are happening in the realm of balanced positive psychology, and as a result many things are getting published that appear relevant to serenity and inner peace. Consequently, I decided to update the initial book, and the first revision was published June 7, 2010.
The revision includes roughly 80 new references expanding further on such topics as eudaimonia and well-being, “meaning making” in adjusting to stressful life events, forgiveness and forgiveness therapy, gratitude, procrastination and time perspective, prosocial behavior, servant leadership, and the dynamic cascade model of development. The revised book is available for $19.95 through CreateSpace (www.createspace.com/3423505) or from Amazon.com.
Simple Serenity (link to the left)
is an abbreviated version of the above book (free of charge)
Balanced Positive Psychology:
Where the Grass is Greener (2009)

Dale R. Floody, Ph.D.
I wrote Balanced Positive Psychology primarily with entry-level college students in mind, with the intention of introducing them to a balanced positive approach to psychology. However, I soon found myself using the material I discovered in a number of other psychology courses (including introductory psychology, life-span development, positive psychology, testing and measurements, and even research and statistics). I teach Effective Behavior (an entry-level course aimed at non-psychology majors), and successfully use this book as the text. In addition, several non-psychology folks in the community already read the book, and tell me that they found it to be very interesting and helpful.
Then I became personally very interested in the pursuit of serenity and inner peace, and my second book evolved (Serenity and Inner Peace: Simplicity One Day at a Time). The book is intended much more for the general public, including but not limited to those in recovery from some form of dependency.
